So yes, we made it through our 1st two performances / concerts and we definitely had a blast. And almost immediately, we were contacted and asked to perform two more performances at different venues. So, I think we must have done something right! Our next concert will be February 9, 2024 at the Havana Springs Resort - Casino night. And after that, we will play at Oyster City Brewery in College Town on Friday, April 12. So - practices must continue. In the picture above, we are working on a new song by Little Big Town called "Boon Docks". The vocals on this song are quite challenging - especially at the end of the song. The vocals require a lot of harmonizing between Brittany, Eric AND Rachael. They're starting to knock it out of the park though.
Brittany also suggested that we perform the song "Man, I Feel Like a Woman" by Shania Twain. When we have new song suggestions by the band members, I like to practice the new songs at home to see how difficult they are on the drums. Here I am at home this week practicing, "Man, I feel like a Woman" :-)
You can see that I am REALLY into that song for some reason. Is that wrong? I know you'd never guess this, but I have issues! And if you think that this wig (I know, you are surprised it wasn't my real hair, right?!) wont be making it to our next concert when we play this new song, you are sadly mistaken.
